Tanner Lee Salmon, Feb.21, 1988-Oct.27, 2005

On behalf of the Aurora community, not just the skaters, I
regret to inform that Tanner Lee Salmon, 16, an accomplished
skateboarder and true friend passed away Oct. 27th.
Things in our community have been rough, but having
friends is always a help. Our skatepark has been
turned into a memorial of sorts, each of his close
friends and family have taken permanent markers to all
the obstacles and written notes for him, there is a
paper-cup design that reads "We Miss You Tanner" in
the fence in his honor, including a few "broken cross
skateboards" planted around the park. eventually there will be a
permanent memorial in Tanner's honor at the park.

Again this year we will be holding a contest of sorts, to raise
money for his family, and to bring light and joy to
all of us in skateboarding, through remembrance of
Tanner. Thanks again, and hope to hear from you soon.
